What we’re About …

A Little Starland History

Starland was formed in 1997 by a group of like-minded men who wished to create an Intentional Community that would be open to ALL groups of individuals regardless of their sexual orientation, socio-economic status, gender-identity, education level or life-experience.  With roots within the Radical Faerie movement, Starland was born as buildings, cabins and RV sites were soon erected, and workshops and events started to take place to bring in more people to share the communal experience.

Starland gets its name because it is in the center of a designated International Dark-Sky territory and the nightly views of the Milky Way, planets and stars are absolutely spectacular!

Nowadays, Starland has grown to host a bevy of groups and gatherings including CMEN Massage Exchange Weeks and many others.

Volunteers

We’re a private, not-for-profit organization made up of volunteers who maintain the grounds and serve as host to its visiting members.

Our funding comes from member dues, fees for overnight accommodations, resident rentals, and friendly, generous donations.
